TRISTAN’S condo was on the corner of 10th Street and Juniper

Avenue with spectacular views of Piedmont Park and midtown Atlanta. It was a one bedroom, one-and-a-half bath with formal living and dining rooms and a den/study, and it took Tristan about five minutes to give Webber the full tour. The condo was much smaller than Webber’s estate, but just as impressive in its own right. It was meticulously neat and very warm and welcoming. Webber had tried many times over the last couple of years to imagine what Tristan’s home would be like, but he never imagined their tastes would be so similar.

While Tristan was debating over what clothing to take with him now and what to leave until later, Webber wandered through the condo admiring the furnishings Tristan had accumulated. The condo was beautifully appointed, and everything was of exceptionally good quality and fit perfectly in their surroundings. While admiring Tristan’s things, he realized all of their pieces would meld beautifully together when they actually decided where they were going to live.

Standing in the formal living room, he ran his hand along the camelback divan and tried to imagine Tristan at home here. He could almost picture him across the room on the chaise reading a book on a lazy Sunday afternoon, legs crossed at the ankles, brows furrowed in concentration, and the thought made him realize something. From the moment he walked through the front door, he’d felt comfortable here. I could live here with Tristan and be very happy.

He felt certain Tristan had a mortgage on the place, and he decided that first thing tomorrow morning, after he called his attorney to make changes to his last will and testament to include Tristan, he would look into paying off this place. Then a thought hit him. Tristan must have worked very hard to buy his home, and Webber didn’t want to take away the sense of pride and accomplishment he must surely feel. No, he would to wait until they decided where they would live and then he would approach the subject.

He was shaken out of his thoughts by long, muscular arms circling his waist. “Everything all right?” Tristan asked. “You looked like you were pretty deep in thought.”

Webber turned his head and kissed Tristan’s cheek. “I’m good, baby. I was just imagining you living here. I really like this place and I think I could be very happy here with you.”

“Haven’t we already decided that we’re going to live at your place?” Tristan asked.

“Well, you did, but we’re a team, remember? We decide everything together, and I’m just not convinced yet.”

“Yeah, but Web, I never want to take you away from a place that makes you feel close to your parents.” “And I love you for that,” Webber admitted. “But I have enough fond memories of my parents to last a lifetime and I don’t need that house to keep those memories alive. I have you now and it’s time we start making our own memories.”

Tristan turned Webber around in his arms and kissed him deeply.
